KAREN SELMAN

Chances are that if you attend Fund events, you have met Karen. She was one of our many volunteers at our 2017 annual awards gala who helped to welcome our guests. Karen played a key role at our last NRHS Concert at Carnegie Hall. In 2015, Karen served as the co-chair for the event. She was privileged to be able to coordinate the event and make it a reality for NRHS music students to perform on one of the most iconic stages in the world. Though it was a lot of work, and took a year of planning and coordination with dedicated teachers, parents and students to create this “one in a lifetime” experience, it was well worth it!
“I am proud to be part of such a diverse school district that truly values musical education.”
Karen has three children (19, 16, and 12) who have attended the New Rochelle public schools. They have all participated in numerous Fund programs, including Poetry Out Loud, Events at the Museum of Arts & Culture, and the Annual Pancake Breakfast!
