Volunteer of the Month: February 2017

LYNNE COHEN

Lynne began volunteering with the Fund in 1999 and was part of the first Poetry Out Loud event. Poetry Out Loud was started by the Fund in partnership with the Scheinfeld family, in memory of their son Jeremy. Lynne is close family friends and neighbors with the Scheinfelds. Lynne’s commitment to the Fund has grown over the years. She has continued to help with Poetry Out Loud and also is a committed gala volunteer. “As lifelong resident of New Rochelle (NRHS class of 1978) and the mother of three NRHS graduates (2005, 2007 and 2016), I felt it was a privilege and honor to be able to help with the Fund’s many exciting events. My children and thousands of other students have benefited from the wonderful offerings of the NR Fund!”
